Club Spotlight: Checking Out Spanish Club

Spencer Hancock, Sports Section Editor

There are lots of different clubs for people to join at the high school. Each of the clubs are generally run by students and have a teacher as an advisor. The focus of these clubs can range from spikeball to board games or even chess. One club like this at our high school is the Spanish club.

The Spanish club is a club at our school that focuses on Spanish culture and learning more about the Spanish language. You don’t even have to be in Spanish classes to attend and have fun at the club. Another fun part about Spanish club is that they always have tons of food and snacks for people who attend.

If you are interested in attending you, can talk to Mrs. McGriff, the advisor for the club. Meetings are about once a month, but the meeting days can vary. At these meetings they do fun activities and games.

Kaitlyn Hay, a regular attendee of the club, said, “Spanish club is a great after school activity!” Ava Andary, another member of the club, remarked, “It is a positive learning environment where you learn about Spanish.”

We hope that you consider checking out Spanish club in the next few weeks and try supporting them.
