The Girls Bowling Season Rolls To an End

John Rick, Inside BHS Section Editor

Recently the season for the Beavercreek Girls bowling team came to end. They lost at the district competition and did not qualify for the state competition. The girls team said they didn’t start well at districts and were too far behind to catch up.

The girls bowling team ended with a record of 13-4, which means they had 13 wins and four losses. This is a good record and the girls should be proud of what they have accomplished this season. Obviously the team was hoping to make state, which is what they will be hoping for next season.

This season the girls team only had two seniors so their team will probably stay around the same next year. Josselyn Terpenning, a junior who plays on the bowling team, said, “Since we only had two seniors this year, we will probably be around the same except we will hope to make state.”

At the end of the season, the girls bowling team finished second in the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC). Four bowlers on the team got GWOC recognition. The team also had three tournament wins.

On behalf of the Beavercreek Beacon Staff, we want to congratulate the girls bowling team on a great season.
