The PSAT is a great way to prepare for the SAT/ACT. Information taken from the BHS guidance office website, “This test will give you a no-risk idea on how you will do on the SAT and for juniors, it is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarships.” Mrs. Duley, one of the counselors here at BHS, reminds us, “‘If you have a conflict with the test date of October 17th due to BHS athletics and wish to test, please be sure to email me so I can give you the options available.’”
To prepare, you should study the subjects on the test and you should also eat a good breakfast. Remember: the PSAT is a practice test; there is no need to stress over it. Do not spend too much time studying for it and make sure to take breaks. On the day of the test, make sure you arrive at the stated time: 7:45. For the juniors: this will help you in becoming a National Merit Scholar. As a final reminder for the sophomores, do your best, even though it is a practice test.
