Cross Country Qualifies for State

On Saturday, October 31st the boys and girls cross country qualified for state at the regional meet in Troy. Both teams have high hopes for state. The state meet will be held this Saturday in Columbus.

At the race the girls were led by senior Julz Williams. The top seven for the girls were Megan Nowe, Grace Dailey, Samantha Thomas, Jamie Confer, Audrey Fetcher, and Abby Roberts. For the girls team this is their 10th straight year making it to the state race. They have also won state the past two years. Hopefully they can keep their streak going this Saturday.

Senior, Connor Ewert, led the team October 31st with his race. He was assisted by Keegan Souhan, Ryan Massie, Andrew Radford, Isaac Leighninger, Nate Massie, and Ethan Johnson. Senior, Isaac Leighninger, says, “I am proud to be a part of such a motivated hardworking group of guys. They’ve all given 100% which has made us into such a great team. I’m excited to see what we can do at state.”

Good luck to both teams on Saturday, November 7th. We are excited to see what you guys can accomplish.
