Marvel has done it again. WandaVision, the highly anticipated Disney+ original, recently arrived on Disney+, and it has viewers of all ages saying… “huh?” The main plot is still unclear, even after four episodes have been released, and considering how much delay the studio experienced as a result of Covid-19, it’s quite impressive that they’ve managed to keep all the details under lock and key. However, this is Marvel we’re talking about; no spoiler could keep them from surprising us, and it’s unlikely that will change now.
So far, each episode has brought its fair share of laughs, chuckles, and visible confusion, but the biggest plothole fans have been dying to fill in is Vision’s nature as a character in the show. At this point, almost everyone knows that he died at Thanos’s hand during the events of Avengers: Infinity War, but he’s somehow back, looking livelier than ever, or at least as functional as ever. A few popular theories have been floating around since the show was announced, the biggest one being that this little world is of Wanda’s own making, and that it is just a method of coping with the loss of her loved one. Whatever the case may be, it is undeniable that Marvel has big plans, and they won’t be pulling any punches. In fact, WandaVision is just the spearhead of the many Marvel shows that will eventually end up on Disney+, and a formidable one at that. WandaVision was definitely the right play by Disney.
