Kanye West, one of the most well-known musicians of the 21st century, has effectively obliterated his reputation in a few months. West, a 22-time Grammy winner, gained immense popularity in the late 2000s with hit albums such as The College Dropout (2004) and Graduation (2007). This stint of musical success accrued hundreds of millions of dollars for West, turning him into one of the most influential celebrities in American culture. However, his reputation has recently been annihilated by his recent assertions regarding the Jewish community. Since November of 2022, West has openly claimed that he will go “death con 3” on the Jewish community, in addition to praising Adolf Hitler while on InfoWars and releasing merchandise featuring the Nazi swastika. Due to these offensive behaviors, West has lost nearly all of his brand deals and about half of his net worth. Kanye West’s legacy is in shambles, and it will surely get worse before it gets any better.
