Shrek 5 is confirmed to be in the works as of April 4. As seen throughout the previous years, Shrek movies have always been a big hit. It is confirmed to have the original cast of the series and it is rumored that Donkey will have his own movie. Since the first movie was released in 2001, they have always received a great deal of attention. If you weren’t aware of the lore, Shrek is an ogre who lives alone in a swamp. He rescues a princess named Fiona. Through their adventure, they realize they love each other. Fiona realized they belonged together. She becomes an ogre permanently and they live happily ever after. Continuing into other movies, it shows their adventures as they navigate through life. Maybe the fifth movie will show the life Donkey has with the dragon and their kids, or maybe it will be a prequel to how Donkey’s life before meeting Shrek. Either way, Donkey definitely deserves his own spinoff.
