The playoffs for the 2023 season are underway and we have had a spectacular playoff bracket so far! In the first round, the 8-seeded Miami Heat destroyed the number 1-seeded Milwaukee Bucks in a series win of 4-1. The Los Angeles Lakers are the 7th seed and beat the number 2-seeded Memphis Grizzlies in 6 games (4-2). The Golden State Warriors seeded at #6 were led by none other than Stephen Curry’s electric 50-point game in game 7 over the #3-seeded Sacramento Kings, ending the series 4 games to 3. There was only one sweep, 4-0, and that was the #3 Philadelphia 76ers over the #6 Brooklyn Nets. The 76ers were led by James Harden, the starting point guard, who had to score 35+ points in the last two games in order for them to come up with the win because their MVP Joel Embiid was out with an injury. The second round had kicked where The Denver Nuggets seeded #1 have just defeated the #4 Phoenix Suns. The runner-up for MVP, Nikola Jokic averaged a triple-double on the series and scored over 35 in every game. Devin Booker for the Suns was averaging 35 points throughout the entire playoffs, but he couldn’t score enough as the Nuggets beat the Suns 4 games to 2. The #2 Boston Celtics have just surged in game six against the 76ers leading to a game 7 in Boston. The LA Lakers and Warriors are playing one another and the series is in 6 games as the Lakers have 3 and the Warriors have 2. The Miami Heat and the #5 New York Knicks are also in game 6 with the series being 3-2 in Miami’s favor.
