Ohio Summer Concerts

Nathan Hart, News Editor

The summertime is one of the most fruitful periods for musical concerts. Every year, thousands of artists across the country put on shows for a combined audience of millions, and a select few megastars travel across the nation, dazzling audiences from coast to coast. Luckily for those in Beavercreek, the state of Ohio is a frequently visited destination for touring musicians. This summer in particular, Taylor Swift, as part of her viral “Eras” Tour, will be performing at Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium on June 30th and July 1st. Although tickets for Swift’s shows are infamously hard to get, pricing usually starts at around $50 for the lowest end seats, although the better seats can cost up to $500, with VIP packages approaching $1000. However, Taylor Swift is not the only superstar coming to Ohio this summer. The Queen of Pop, also known as Madonna, will be performing at Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on August 2nd, as part of “The Celebration Tour”. The least expensive tickets for this spectacular event will cost about $75 dollars, with the average decent seat costing $369, and the highest end seats costing nearly $8000. For those who would prefer something a bit heavier than the pop tunes of Swift and Madonna, then the Ohio Stadium in Columbus on August 8th is the place to be. At this time and place, Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard will be jointly performing as part of “The World Tour”. The tickets for this ostentatious extravaganza will range from $55 to $800. If none of these concerts sound appealing, then don’t fret, because there is still a surplus of incredible concerts coming to the state of Ohio this summer for you to discover.
