Thanksgiving is a holiday that celebrates gratitude and the blessings over the year. It is celebrated every year on the fourth Thursday of November. Some Thanksgiving traditions include spending time with family and giving thanks to each other. Allison Butcher, Junior says her favorite holiday tradition is making jello salad with her family. Another student, Caleb Farris, also enjoys cooking with his family. A lot of people enjoy spending quality time with their family leading up to Thanksgiving. On the other hand, some people avoid the holidays altogether. Molly Maine says, “I stay in my room as much as possible” others like to do the traditional things. Camelie Clark, junior, says she enjoys waiting for the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade with her family. Overall, Thanksgiving is a great time to give back, and spend time with family and friend
