With prom quickly arriving, students need to buy outfits for the event. Students who wear prom dresses might need to consider which prom dress looks best on their body type. A-line dresses, where the upper body is form-fitting and the lower body is loose, are typically flattering on all body types. Former fitting dresses are best for accentuating curves, while more flowy dresses are better for comfort and modesty. After interviewing many students from BHS, it was clear that students prefer to wear tighter dresses on prom night, hoping to show more skin and look their best. Olivia Derevage, a senior at Beavercreek High School, states, “I chose a tight style because big, poofy dresses don’t make me look good. Also, I chose a red dress because it makes me feel confident about myself.” The style of a dress is one thing to consider, but color is also essential. Knowing what color looks best with people’s skin tone, hair color, and features, is important in making sure they look great on prom night.
