Lucy Dacus’s new album Forever Is A Feeling, released on March 28, 2025, is a slow-burning, emotional journey- and I loved every second of it. Each track feels like a love letter, drenched in memory, heartache, and tenderness. I’m seeing Lucy Dacus in concert this July, and if the live performance is anything like the album, I know I’ll be crying by the end of it. Claire Burnworth, a senior at BHS, shared her thoughts: “You can tell it was made with a lot of love. Sometimes it felt like the songs were written for one really specific person or moment, and because I’m not that person, it almost felt like I was intruding when listening to it. But that vulnerability made it really refreshing too.” Lena Westley, another senior at BHS, said, “I don’t think it’s an album you can just throw on in the background. You have to really listen to it. But when you do, it’s amazing.” Forever Is A Feeling might not be for everyone, but for those who connect with its quiet intensity, it offers something special: songs that feel deeply personal, like someone putting their whole heart into words you didn’t realize you needed to hear.
