With the Homecoming dance being only a week away, it’s time to cover the basics. Tickets cost $25, and you can purchase your ticket using your student ID, which can be found on ProgressBook. Each student is allowed to purchase one ticket, and all sales are final. To buy a ticket, you must use your school email (@gocreek.org). Tickets can be purchased through Hometown Ticketing and can be accessed in your Hometown Ticketing account after payment is made. The last day to purchase tickets is Wednesday, September 17, through 11:59 pm – after this, Hometown closes. The dance will be held on the football field and, if the weather conditions are poor, it will be moved to inside the BHS field house. To enter the dance, you have to have some form of ID, preferably a student ID. Mansi Desai, the President of BHS’s Student Council, stated, “If you were to forget your ID, your entrance into the dance would be delayed, and you would be pulled over to a table with administration to verify your identity.” If you do not own a photo ID, screenshot your student ID on Progressbook. As for past rules, such as heels not being permitted, some alterations have been made. Desai, regarding the topic of heels, stated, “Heels are technically allowed at the dance, but it is not recommended to wear them because they can be difficult to dance in, and we don’t want them lying around on the field and people dancing barefoot if they decide to take them off.” Other dance guidelines include no forms of pins, boutonnieres, or corsages will be allowed at the dance. Desai mentioned, “Also, as a reminder, all forms of boutonnieres and corsages are not allowed at the dance, even if they are magnetic.” Homecoming is only a couple of days away, so remember to have fun, be prepared, and stay safe!
