The Beavercreek Girls Tennis team is serving up a strong season, both in competition and in character. With a current record of 7-4, the team has faced tough opponents and continues to impress. Out of the 16 matches they’ve played, many have been against top-10 teams, and they are now ranked second in the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC). But for Head Coach Mr. Stanforth, the season is about more than just scores and standings. “My goals for the team this year are to develop a love for the sport and to help each player become the best version of themselves,” said Mr. Stanforth in a recent interview. “Winning isn’t what matters most. Tennis is a sport for life, and I want them to enjoy it for years to come.” This philosophy has helped create a positive and encouraging environment for the team. Players are not only focused on improving their game but also on building confidence, teamwork, and a lasting passion for tennis.
Despite the tough competition, the team has stayed motivated and determined. Being ranked second in the GWOC shows their hard work is paying off, and Coach Stanforth is already preparing them for the postseason. His focus is on helping the players grow from every match, learning to handle pressure, and staying mentally strong. The Beavercreek Girls Tennis team continues to prove that success isn’t just measured in wins. With strong leadership, dedication, and a true love for the game, they’re building more than just a winning season—they’re building a lifelong connection to the sport.
