With Homecoming this weekend, numerous activities are happening around the school. To kick off the festivities, the BHS Student Council organized a spirit week leading up to Homecoming, with Monday being lazy day (pajamas), Tuesday Creek spirit wear day, Wednesday dress as your future career day, Thursday jersey day, and Friday neon day. On Thursday, September 18, the annual Homecoming parade took place. Starting at Main Elementary School and ending at Beavercreek High School, multiple sports, clubs, and organizations located in Beavercreek rode through the streets to stir up a sense of community as we head into Homecoming weekend. On Friday, everyone attending Beavercreek High School and Ferguson Hall will be dismissed from class and taken to the football field for a pep rally to support the school’s football team for the Homecoming game. Friday night lights begin on September 19, when the football team will take on Miamisburg at home, with the theme for dress up being orange. All of these events lead up to the Homecoming dance on Saturday, September 20, from 7-10 pm on the football field. Juliana Hall, a junior at Beavercreek High School, stated that her favorite part of Homecoming week is “getting ready for Homecoming, dinner, and then the actual dance.” Along with this, Hall also stated what she is looking forward to the most, “I’m looking the most forward to the songs that will be played at Homecoming because I’m ready to jam.” Homecoming is only a few days away, so be aware of all the activities happening around the school and have fun!
