As the fall sports come to a close, many senior players should be acknowledged for their outstanding performances in their sport. Multiple athletes are beyond talented at Beavercreek High School, and this article is going to highlight a few of them. The following players have all been selected as the most outstanding players on their respective teams: Preston Robinette (football), Zach Mathews (men’s soccer), Bridget Funderburg (women’s volleyball), Natalie Miller (women’s soccer), and lastly Madison Harris (women’s tennis). All of these athletes were asked to answer a couple of questions regarding their sports careers, and below are a few of their answers. When asked about what life lessons they had learned from their sport, there were multiple answers. Robinette stated, “To achieve something great, it takes a lot of work and dedication to better yourself and the will to not give up.” When asked the same question, Mathews responded, “The value of hard work and discipline. Along with teamwork.” Harris also said, “To never give up because each point is a fresh start.” Although not all of these players’ sports careers are ending in high school. When Funderburg and Miller were asked if they were continuing their sport into college, both answered yes. Funderburg stated, “Yes, I have verbally committed to continue my academic and athletic career at Kenyon College.” Miller answered, “I will be continuing my soccer career at Michigan Technological University.” Looking back on their high school sports careers, many have fond memories of their time playing. Whether it was winning GWOC, saving a PK to secure an important win, winning an invite, or spending time with teammates, these players built timeless memories from on and off the court and field. Give it up for all of Beavercreek High School’s standout fall sports athletes for the 2025-2026 season!
