As a huge Crimson Tide fan, I have always loved Alabama sports.  I especially love their football team, but I have never really paid attention to their basketball team because of their lack of excellence; however, this may be changing in 2017.

The last time Alabama made it into the NCAA Tournament was in 2011 when they had a 21-12 record and were coached by Anthony Grant. Since then, Alabama has only won 20 games in a season once back in 2012; however, this could soon change as third year coach Avery Johnson had very successful recruiting in the off-season. The Crimson Tide recruited 5-star McDonald’s All-American Collin Sexton, 5-star John Petty, and 4-star Tevin Mack, who transferred from Texas. These three recruits are all in the top fifty of the ESPN 100.

With these new additions to the team, I believe the Crimson Tide will win at least 20 games and make a run in the NCAA Tournament in the 2017 season. The season starts for Alabama on November 6th when they host the Huntsville Chargers in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
