This past Monday, rock and roll legend Tom Petty passed away at the age of 66 at the UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica. He died of cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu at 8:40 P.M.

Petty is best known for his role as the lead singer of his band “Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.” Petty leaves behind two daughters: Adria Petty and Kimberly Violette Petty. Petty is one of the most iconic figures in rock history and will be remembered for his distinct style, as well as legendary songs such as “Free Fallin'” and “No I Won’t Back Down.” His music will forever be remembered as some of the greatest of the past century, and he will be missed by rock and roll fans everywhere.
