Thought the summer may seem far away? It will be upon us sooner than you may think. Some students may already have jobs, but those who don’t have one will be looking, and for those students, there are many opportunities for work in Beavercreek and here are some of them:

Sophomores going into their junior year are the primary group of students that will be looking for jobs this summer, as a lot of places start hiring at 16 years old.

Chick-fil-A is a place that hires many high school students and has a great working environment. Student Ben Silvey works at Chick-fil-A and said this about his job: “It’s a lot of fun because there’s a good community. The food is good too, but sometimes it can be stressful because we are super busy.”

Some other popular summer jobs are lifeguarding on the base or at Woodhaven, Kroger Marketplace which hires many high school students. Finally, the Kettering Rec Center offers multiple different jobs from working on the grounds to working concessions in the main building.

Those looking for a job should start sending in applications now as a lot of jobs fill up in the next couple months.
