The Bevercreek boys’ tennis season is coming to a close. Our varsity team finished with a record of 15-3 and 2nd place in GWOC. Several varsity players – Vinodh Enukonda, Curtis Guthrey, and Austin Staiger – are going on to play in districts with a chance of qualifying for state. Everyone here at the Beacon wishes our players luck!

Tryouts for boys’ tennis next year will be around early-spring; early practices will often be chilly. If any students are hoping to join the team they should practice over the summer and fall as much as possible as practice becomes much harder once winter begins. Senior Daniel Wilson said, “I’ve been on the team since I was a sophomore and It’s been a really great couple of years.” I have personally been on the tennis team since freshman year and I can gladly recommend it to any underclassmen or upperclassmen with past tennis experience.
