With Halloween over, Thanksgiving around the corner, and Christmas less than two months away, comes the return of Operation Christmas Child!

Operation Christmas Child started back in 1993, collecting toys, hygiene products, and more items along the way to help people in need. People donate these items, people pack the items into a shoebox, send them to other countries around the world to orphanages to give people in need some type of Christmas! Since 1993, over 135 million shoe boxes have been collected and donated to over 150 countries and territories around the world! If you would like to donate to Operation Christmas Child, through November 9th teachers will be collecting donations to help those in need! The group Christians in Action here at Beavercreek High School, run by Mrs.Creech, brought the cause to the school 10 years ago, and has been running strong since then. Mrs.Creech said the group decided to bring the project to the school because it is an exciting project and many of the members at the time were doing it in their churches, and decided they would bring Operation Christmas Child to BHS!

If you have any questions or concerns, you can talk to Mrs.Creech in room 2052.
