After the 2017-18 season, Beavercreek’s women’s basketball team will hope to improve on their record last year but will have to do so after losing six seniors. With a younger team this year, the Beavers will look to juniors and seniors to lead the team to victory, one being junior Morgan Rhodes who had battled injuries in the beginning of last season but is healthy and ready for action this year. When asked about what she looked forward to this season, she said “I look forward to rebuilding the team this year and working together to win games.” She also mentioned that she’s excited to grow closer with her teammates and Coach Zink. Zink coached his women’s team to his 1,000 career win this past January in the Ed Zink Fieldhouse at BHS which is named after him. After losing their first game of the year to Roger Bacon 52-35, the Beavers will look to get back on track when they take on Springfield at home on December 1st. Look for the women’s basketball schedule on the school website and go support the Beavers this year!
