The end of the season for the Beavercreek High School club called Model United Nations is approaching quickly. The club will be traveling to Columbus on Sunday, December 2nd, for their conference with schools all across Ohio. At the conference, teams will present their resolutions in the hopes of gaining the approval of a majority of participants, resulting in the passage of their ideas as international law. Model UN Vice President Taran Smith said, “I look forward to participating this year, we have a lot of teams and a lot of spirit.” Model UN participants will be out of school Monday and Tuesday, returning Tuesday afternoon.

If any student wants to learn about Model UN and join next year, they can talk to Mr. Schadt for information. Model UN starts in the first few weeks of school and holds a meeting every Friday up until the conference. The Beacon wishes good luck to all Beavercreek teams going to the Ohio Model United Nations conference!
