Spooky Season is Starting

To get you ready for spooky season, we will be looking at the different local haunted houses and attractions. Some different haunted houses and attractions include Dayton Scream Park, Nightmare On Valley Street, Land of Illusion, and Kings Island Halloween Haunt Fest. 

Dayton Scream Park has a 4.5 review on Google and is located on Valley Street. Its address is 5117 Valley St, Dayton, OH 45424, and it costs 20 dollars per person to attend this haunted attraction. One review mentioned that it had a short line, was good entertainment, and had a very good first aid. It opens at 7:30 on Friday.

Another haunted attraction that is close to Dayton Scream Park is a Nightmare On Valley Street. Its address is 4355 Valley St, Dayton, OH 45424, and its open from dark until midnight. This park is a part of the Dayton Scream park and has a 3.8 star review. 

Riverside Jaycees Haunted Castle of Carnage Trail is also a good option for people looking for a good time and a scare. Its rating is 4.1 stars based off its Google reviews. This haunted attraction is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. On Fridays and Saturdays it is open from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM, while on Sunday it is open from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM. It costs 15 dollars per person, which is cheaper than the other ones so far. If you are interested in this attraction, the address is 1213 Old Harshman Rd, Riverside, OH 45431. 

One very popular haunted attraction is Kings Island’s Haunt Fest. Usually Kings Island is just a roller coaster and water park, but in the fall organizers add some haunted houses and haunted decorations. The address is 6300 Kings Island Dr, Mason, OH 45040, if you are interested. Harper Ellingwood, a senior at Beavercreek Highschool said this about Haunt Fest, “It was fun and I will never forget the experience.”
