The Beavercreek High School swim team has surged to victory, securing multiple coveted spots for the upcoming OHSAA State Championship. Among the talented qualifiers from the boys’ team are Anthony Braun, demonstrating remarkable proficiency in both the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke, and Nathan Dunhac, showcasing his prowess in the 100-yard breaststroke. However, the standout performance came from Caleb Manning, who not only qualified in the 200-yard medley but also made waves by smashing a 15-year-old record in the 500-yard freestyle. Manning’s accomplishment speaks volumes about his dedication and skill, as echoed in his own words: “I set some big goals for this coming year and I am excited to have reached one of my milestones in accomplishing those goals. So yeah, I’m pretty proud of myself!” On the girls’ side, Chloe Otten shone bright, securing her spots in the 200-yard individual medley and the 500-yard freestyle. Both the men’s and women’s teams exhibited exceptional teamwork and skill in securing spots in the 200-yard medley relay, with the boys’ team further impressing by qualifying in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
