The city of Beavercreek is continuing plans for a factory road bridge reconstruction project to improve traffic flow and safety for drivers and pedestrians. According to the Beavercreek City website, “The current bridge along Factory Road is narrower than the adjacent roadways,” which has caused traffic congestion in the area. Officials also explained that the bridge is located in a FEMA floodplain, making it vulnerab
le during major storms and creating safety concerns for commuters. The Reconstruction project will include winding the bridge by adding another Lane and raising the bridge elevation to reduce flooding impacts. “Offical also noted that the bridge elevation will be raised to help reduce flooding impacts during large storm events.” Beavercreek City website.
