Spring break is finally here, and certainly bringing excitement to the students of Beavercreek High School. Whether they are planning on going on vacation or spending the time at home, it’s safe to say every student is looking forward to this long-awaited break. A couple of students shared what their plans for this break are and what they are looking forward to the most. Mae Harrison, a senior at Beavercreek, stated, “I plan to work and am most excited to reach forty hours because the paycheck is going to be huge.” Similarly, senior Brooklynn Tucker said, “I’m going to sleep and work over break. I’m excited to make money and sleep in because I’m tired. I also might be going on a trip, so I’m excited for that.” Sophomore Alexus Jordan also stated, “I plan to sleep in because I have to wake up early for school.” While some students want to spend their time doing other small activities. Marin Robinson, a junior at BHS, stated, “I plan on doing a whole lot of nothing. Probably like shopping, like little things. No vacations or anything.” Other students, like freshman Chloe Vogel, plan on taking advantage of this free time to hang out with friends. Vogel also stated, “I’m excited to not have school work because I need a break.” Spring break gives students at Beavercreek the chance to rest and take a break from their harsh everyday schedules, but some students are still choosing to keep busy. Harrison stated, “I’m going to stay busy picking up all of those hours at work,” and similarly Tucker said, “I’m going to try and stay busy over the break”. While other students are taking this week as their chance to rest, instead. Robinson stated, “I’m going to relax because I’m always really busy during school, so it’s nice to have a week to lie back,” and Vogel mentioned, “The school week is tiring, so I am going to relax over break.” Lastly, Jordan agreed with both of these statements made by Robinson and Vogel, and plans on taking this week off as well. Some students also mentioned that they would enjoy traveling or going on vacation. Robinson stated, “I would like to travel because it’s fun going places, since you’re always at home.” While Tucker said it’s determined by how she is feeling for the day, “Depends on what mood I’m in because sometimes I want to stay home, watch Tik Tok, and be alone. While other times I want to socialize and be out.” Overall, Spring break allows students to get the much-needed break that is deserved by this time of year. Whether they choose to spend it working or relaxing at home, students at Beavercreek are ready for the week off.
