As summer quickly approaches, students are anticipating all the fun that will be spent at theme parks like Cedar Point and Kings Island. Many new additions have also been made to these parks for the upcoming summer. Kings Island has a new addition to its park this year called the Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare, which is a slow-moving, dark ride that is set indoors. Cedar Point, on the other hand, added two new coasters last year in the summer of 2025. One of which is the Top Thrill 2 and Siren’s Curse (a 160-foot tilt coaster). A couple of students at Beavercreek High School stated what they are looking forward to the most at Kings Island this year. Madylin Labenski, a junior at Beavercreek, stated, “I’m excited to hang out with my friends and get all of the good food there. I’m also excited for the water rides because those are really fun, and it’s fun getting soaked.” While other students are looking forward to some of the coasters. Victoria Spangler, another junior at Beavercreek, said, “I’m excited to go and ride Diamondback because it is my favorite ride.” Overall, both Kings Island and Cedar Point have many fun new additions to their parks, and students from BHS are looking forward to all the fun memories they will make at these parks this summer.
